BLACK SCREEN on my vu solo 2

Installed the lastest blackhole.when scanning for channels dropped the remote and this stopped the scan..
powered the box off and all i got now is a black screen..
cant connect to the box with filezilla or usb stick..
can somebody please help me get it back or is my box ready for the bin..

is your solo2 a clone

if so
as soon as the box syncs the time and date with a transponder
it will brick the box

no its genuine box..it was half way through the scan

I can't see how dropping the remote could cause this, unless it hit the power off button, but even then you should be able to get some power going through it.
Are you sure it's even switching on? Check your power cable.
Are there any lights, on the receiver at all, when you switch the power on, including the power on switch, at the rear.
If FileZilla doesn't connect it sounds like it's not booting at all.

tried that..my usb wont connect with the box..
the lcd screen is black aswell..

Theres power going to the box green light at the back is on and the power light at the front comes on..
i dropped the remote and i think i hit buttons when i picked it up and the scan had stopped waited a bit and tried rebooting it

what image did it have on before you flashed the latest blackhole

My box crashed when i was using ts media..wouldnt load up so then with help off here i flashed the latest blackhole

dont know but i bought the box back in jan/feb time this year..so the latest one at that time

my guess is you had a old image on with old drivers

and when you flashed the latest blackhole
did a channel scan time and date syncs with the box
box Freeze-up
on next power up box does nothing

thats says its a clone

you need to replace the flash chip

so the question is

was it a clone ? you say its genuine but are getting a clone error

if it was a clone, you should know better than mess about with official images

if its an original and not a clone,try reflashing with a new image from a usb stick

checked the box with pictures on the forum and its a genuine..
i didnt finish scanning it was on bout 47% when it got stopped

I bought it as a genuine box so i thought.. checked pictures they match up with a genuine box..
it wont connect with a usb stick got power to the box but a black screen on the lcd screen on the front

You have always stated that your Solo 2 is genuine, how did you check this?

The differences are very subtle.

I think you should contact your supplier, as it should still be under warranty and they should replace it.

thats how i checked... its got a magnet on the front and the protective vinyl dots inside the fan

Try another USB stick, formatted to FAT 32, and load a Solo 2 image on it, any image, if you can't get it to boot from that then contact your supplier and get it replaced.
