    spiderbox 6000 wifi fix

    Hi all
    i have been having issues with the built in wifi on this box. i cannot get an ethernet to my box, my router is at the other end of my house and even if the routers in the same room as the box it was dropping signal.
    signal before was around 5% its now 37% and stable.

    Here is how i fixed it hope its of any help to someone.
    took around half an hour to do.

    had the same problem here with the router being at the other end of the house,,,,,,,,sorted and working very well with a set of 500mb homeplugs, one with 4 ports for smart tv,spiderbox,android g box,,,and one running up the aerial conduit to a network switch in the attic which services the upstairs with wired connection,s...........

    That was going to be my direction for it, kind of got annoyed last night, pulled an old router apart for the antenna.

    Yep homeplugs is easiest.

    yeah kinda wanted to use the wireless feature, was the main reason for buying the box, plus home plugs cost money i dont have at the mo

    The wifi on these stb's are never gonna be as good as wired.

    But saying that, well done.

    Using both homeplugs and a wireless signal extender here, both work great. (Homeplug in bedroom for the spiderbox, and extender in kids room for them to use on another spiderbox/games consoles/tablets simultaneously)Main SPiderbox in the living room is hard wired , as I believe its the most reliable method of connnecting anything to the net
