    Question DM 800 HD Fault

H i all,Just went to use my Dreambox and noticed the front Display isnt lighting up,getting nothing on the tv but the Ethernet light is working and so is the Digital Audio out Red light, could it be the Display at Fault?or a number of things? Thanks.

    possibly image corruption.

its a long time since ive flashed a dreambox, but if i remember correctly you have to press certain buttons whilst switching on,to obtain the boxes ip address on the display screen before you can flash from the pc.

can you obtain this address from the display ?

if so then its doubtfull its hardware and most likely the image has been damaged by powering off incorrectly,ie using the switch at the back rather than turning off from within the menus.

if you still get bugger all on the display, then you do have to start thinking along the lines of a hardware fault.

    Ian.
