This is one awesome site ive been following it for quite some time already
its very accurate but recently i cant get the cloud cover option to work anymore instead it seems to have changed in the options TaB to thunder instead
but still a really good and really usefull link thank you Skomedal

I was really referring to protecting electronic equipment.
True real time isn't that useful except to tell you what just hit you. Period charts make it much clearer which way storms are travelling and how fast.
Trouble is that, especially in southern Europe, they tend to develop rapidly from nothing so can catch you out.
