See if you can find Pavtube Blu-ray copy or Aiseesoft Blu-ray Ripper.. both are excellent programs.

Managed to use trial period anyhd to rip to hard drive and then dvdfab to convert to mkv or bluray compresses file. But how do I add subtitles to mkv files that are not hard coded and play on stand alone sony bluray player? Has anyone tried bdrebuilder to do this?

My M8 has recently bought a Blu-Ray DVD Player, would I be able to make Films with MKV Files for him to play on the Blu-Ray player, sorry for this query as I have no experience of using a Blu-Ray Player.

Depends on the player. All the recent players I have seen will play most files including mkv m2t2 avi. You can usually just connect a usb hard drive or memory stick with files. Or burn on a dvd drive.

Many thanks for your reply, I will burn a couple of Films in mkv format on to a DVD Disc and see how they go. :cheers2:
