    I second that question. Cant see any difference whether its on or off so I guess its not needed atm (not for me anyway) but it would be great to know what it's meant to be doing

    This option is the twin protocol ,like rs232,sssp protocol or other else called in other receivers

    Yes this option is ''Twin protocol'' and it is used with dongles.
