there is only the 6000 model (in 2 flavours) and available from the sponsor here (goldwafers)

you can either go fixed dish ; or to use it properly go motorised , typically with a 1 metre motorised dish with inverto ultra black lnb and a dark motor or similar diseqc/usals motor to move it , bolted to a south facing wall (for the uk anyway)

you will get fta channels using this or any box , and for uk channels that is all you will get without adding a c line, something we dont talk about and is a banned topic on most forums

I thinks it depends on exactly what you are looking to do. If you want a box that is practically plug and play, will happily show enough channels for most peoples needs, is easy to operate, has really good support and posts for things like channel lists (this site), fully supports things like clines and the like then the Spiderbox 6000 is the box for you. I got myself a Spiderbox 6000 at Christmas with a motorised setup and loved it. BUT within two months I 'upgraded' it to a Vu+ Uno. The 6000 did all I want it to do but I wanted the 'challenge' of on open o/s that I can tweak and configure which is what the Vu+ allows.

For £80 you can't go far wrong with a Spiderbox 6000. For double that (and above) you start to get a bit more serious.
