Anyone else got a Chromecast ?

If yes please list what apps you are using with it, today I have read we will get slingbox support.

Could be the best £30 I have spent :respect-048:

i have plex running on a dedicated server, on the dedicated use the unsupported apps bundle, add the iptv plugin find the links and add em too the iptv channels playlist

theres also navi x yify ect ect ect

then connect your chromecast as a client

shoulde said when i say dedicated i mean hosted server not a dedicated pc in the house..

although wiff a decent pc on home network would still work, hosted just so much quicker when out and about..

plex app on iphone, streamed TV any where

best place to look is the plex forum really

also should really say i use nowtvbox as client too, 15 quid from tesco or 10 online direct from sky..

theres an enigma 2 plugin as well... havent tried the streams on there though as i hardly use a reciever any more, my media portal machines now redundant lol..

also got a couple mates using plex on there smart tvs to connect, it really is a very good app, based entirely on xbmc

I have a samsung f7000 smart tv, they have just added plex app to their selection. I would like to subscribe to BT sport but I am not keen to use the sly platform so thought chromecast maybe a good option. Can you give me some pointers how to do this, plus whats the quality like? can you get HD quality via this method?

I signed up to BT as my ISP so I can get the BT sport app as part of the package, quality is good but not as sharp as watching through a STB.

I would say between the two was fair, it is better than SD for sure.

The BT app is geo-aware!! so if u aint in the UK it don't work!
nothing to do with IP address - it uses iphone/ipad location service
