TuneIn radio app on Samsung TV problem

I have a Samsung ES8000 tv and I use TuneIn app to listen to radio channels. Last time I updated the app, the app had so much improvements and all the streams had worked properly (in the older version some streams didn't work at all and I would receive stream error message). So, everything worked like a dream really, until ten minutes ago when my tv prompted me to upgrade the app again. Now, it seems as they have rolled it back to the old version again :-( Instead of the sleek interface and flawless streaming, I have an old version of the app back on my tv. I have tried reinstalling it, and then reinstalling it again through VPN, but still nothing. Is anybody else experiencing the same problem?

According to tunein FAQ Samsung TV only support mp3 streams.
Have you checked what format those streams are you cannot play?

I know of at least one radio station that tunein on a Samsung tv won't play and that stream is .mp3
So I can't think why it won't play it.

I am referring to 'Goonshow Radio'

It broadcasts old Goon show programs.

Via my internet radios and all the computers in the house and tablets and smartphones it is fine. Just via the Samsung TV it won't play. :(

The apps on my television automatically update when needed.

All the streams worked fine (including the non-mp3 ones), until they rolled back to the old version again. That is what's weird.

Sounds like it could have been a copyright issue with some of the stations and they have had to rollback to the previous version.

Hi davorp.. I am experiencing the very same issue here in Brazil. I wish I would had never clicked on that stupid update button. The program clearly had important improvements (all my favorite stations could be listened), but the older version does not allow me to do so. At this point I would agree with Mr Bigtone, there could have been some copyright thing here. And even worse.. you might have your updated version working soon, while down here, just forget it. Best.

Edit: Btw, davorp, I was about to test re-installing it through VPN... Too bad it didn't work.

I can now play radio stations that I couldn't previously.
