What satellites/channels should I be getting?

After the trials and tribulations (see thread) my Spiderbox 6000 is functioning fine. I've downloaded some of the channel lists but am currently setting up my own.

    I am targeting Hot Bird (13.0E), Astra (19.2E), Eutelsat 16A (16.0E), Eutelsat 7A (7.0E), ABS 1 (75.0E), Astra (28.2E), SES 5 (5.0E), Astra (23.3E), Thor 5/6/Intelsat 10-02 (0.8W), Eutelsat (36.0E) and Eutelsat 9A/Ka-Sat 9A (9.0E)

I am finding that Astra 28.2 is fine (loads of FTA channels coming through and so are channels on Hotbird and Thor) but any of the other satellites are very hit and miss regards what channels I get. Is this normal? By hit and miss I mean on some satellites i.e. Astra and Hot bird there is a steady string of FTA channels being shown. On most the other satellites only the odd one FTA appears despite it being listed in the channel list.

As well as the 6000HD I have a 90cm Triax dish and am in the North of England (Leeds).

Apologies if any previous thread inferred I was targetting CS or 'gift' channels. My issue is purely with FTA's

generally speaking you wont find many fta channels on most of the lesser know satellites , even less in english , compare to those on 28e , 19e and 13e for example

    perhaps half a dozen on 39e , 0.8w , 26e , also non-english fta channels on 42e , 26e , 10e , 7e , 5e , 5w

but its hardly surprising given that most channels are pay as you go so not too many freebies exist , especially on lesser know sat positions

you can check for fta channels on lyng sat or kig of s*t or fly s*t as they have colour coding etc (especially on lyng sat)
