    8280 oddity

I have today been entering new BISS/CW codes thru the 8280 menu - one entry was fine - channel cleared - the second which ended in 8C did not clear the channel. I returned to the menu to see that the entry read 8F - I thought I had just made a date entry error - so reentered that field to 8C - save the settings - channel not cleared - checked menu - still 8F !! I then zeroed the line and saved - all zeros OK - re-entered the line and saved - guess what 8F again - tried on a different line and still this error occurs - entering 8C gets saved as 8F !!
    I have firmware 128 + phantom131p and addon_2

All other aspects of the box are fine, other BISS keys are fine and the 8281 menu works OK as well.

Can anyone shed some light of this anomaly ??

    thanks

Make sure to just enter 16 digits and then 16 zeros

This does occur from time to time no idea why most likely the patch is to blame, The only cure i found for it was to enter the key onto a different line

I did enter the key on a different line but it again flipped to 8F !
I have experimented and it doesn't seem to matter what I enter 88 8A 8B etc etc it always gets saved as 8F !
I have recently factory reset the box - loaded the official firmware, then phantompatch then addon - something I have done many times - but this time there seems to be this oddity.
