    Cas interface, 4.2.2 ??

    I have had a Cas Interface 3 Plus for a few years now but never really got round to using it. I am wondering if this would allow me to view 4.2.2 transmissions. I have followed NBC broadcasts on 15 w for a number of years but only seems to have sound now. Posters on here said it was probably 4.2.2 and another search elsewhere said that the CAS would show these if programmed correctly.
    I got left behind years ago, as used to program my Humax etc at one time. Caring for someone full time means have not managed to research things in depth so excuse me if this is completely off track. Any advice on upgrade receiver wise would be very useful too thanks, as this is next big purchase planned. However like everything at the moment, time taken up here means that I am very reliant on expert help. Anyone in Newcastle area who can offer hands on (probably phone) help/advice is likely to be given an interview Cheers

    there are so many receivers now its down to budget and if you need 4..2.2 that may reduce choice. The vu+ are the tops and I have the uno and it rocks.

    Thanks for all the comments and think am going to need a lot of research. Struggled with the far simpler details of the Humax a while back so not confident I will get very far but know where to come should things get too confusing Cheers!

    Are you saying the vu+ range of receivers can decode 4.2.2?

    I have had a vuduo for many years and am not aware of this.

    Any Enigma1 or Enigma2 Linux receiver can receive the signal you then have to connect to your receiver through a PC/Laptop with the Webif and stream the 4:2:2 channel via the VLC Media Player software.

    It is of course far easier receiving 4:2:2 via a Sat PC Card or if you have an AZbox

    No special plugins required just setup the Webif to automatically open with VLC

    I shall try this when I have the time.

    I can see 4.2.2 with my TBS 6925 card or one of my skystar cards.

    Hi Paul

    I should be able to help you with your desire for US feeds. PM your e-mail or publish it in your Profile temporarily. I also added you as a friend. Problem is I can't respond to your PM as I don't have enough posts. I'm not really prepared to go and make rubbish posts just for the sake of it!

    I'm also registered on...

    * linux
    * satellite
    * support

    There I can be contacted if you register. You will want to hear what solutions I have for you. Just need an e-mail to get you on to give you mine without doing it public!
