Opinions will always vary just like installations.

And as stated before I've always sworn by the now unobtainable white Sharp low noise LNB - which in all OTHER ways is brilliant, so really hoping this black inverto really DOES 'do the business' on 7W, unlike the white Sharp!! lol!!

Looks as though my dish is JUST too small - tried black inverto which arrived today (brill dely! - tried moving it in four diff positions near to & away from dish too) - but still no HD 1-6 on any 7W's at all - so prob find it again later, but obviously not at 3pm when I need it for Saturdays! lol!!
See four test channels 11013H on 13E still not showing any sign of becoming JSC Sports 1-4 HD either - SHAME!!!

i have the TM-1 Gold LNB but i replaced it with the Inverto Black Ultra,
and i have to say ive been very impressed with it especially on the weaker satellites,
IMO the TM-1Gold LNB works fine on most satellites but its on the weaker ones i noticed the difference,
to be fair though i have been reading that with the Inverto Black Ultra,
some peeps have been getting different results with the single, twin and quad,
with the twin being slightly better on certain frequencies...

Based purely on reports over the years on multiple forums, the Inverto Black Ultra seems to be accepted by the majority of people posting as the best available on the market.
    They can't be all wrong.
This is the first time I've seen the TM-1 Gold recommended.
I don't use either of them, so I've no direct experience of them.. just commenting on years of reading.

Yes mate but MAYBE its very marginally better with the black inverto than the white Sharp - but it really depends on the time of day - and as I say unfortunately the very WORST time of day does appear to be 3pm in the afternoon, worst luck!
I will try the black inverto for a few days to give it a fair crack, but there really is SO very little in it - and that IS now with he correct black inverto after all the earlier confusion with the black Quattro!! lol!!

PS: Yes manic01 I DID try moving it along the clamp - its now at its FURTHEST point away from the actual 1.1M dish!

JSC Sports HD 1-6 all opening on TM6900HD Super with black inverto LNB 1.1M dish at 58% signal quality at 0130hrs in morning in North Lincs - so not great for 3PM EPL matches on Saturday afternoons!

No matter what lnb you have if dish is too small or misaligned you are wasting your time.

Yes mate - I do keep stating that I'm now assuming that my dish (1.1M) in MY area (North Lincs) MUST be too small on this mega marginal reception footprint!
I had simply been hoping that MAYBE the black inverto might have helped gain a couple of percent!

Deffo thinking of seeing my satellite man to investigate what sort of deal he can do to exchange my 1.1M dish for someting a little bigger - say 1.2 or 1.4M!!

just remember that with a bigger dish you will need a polar mount and actuator, and a vbox to control it from your diseqc/usals boxes

you will probably need a different type of lnb as well for the bigger dish as it may well be prime focus

and it requires planning permission for a dish larger than 100cm in england and wales unless its ground mounted on a so called "temporary" stand

cosworth and barney and satwyn etc will know more about that, so start a new thread in the dish forum about it for further clarity

You will need more than 1.2m

I am south and east of you ( village between Felixstowe and Ipswich)
My 1.2 channel master only picks up 7w H about 75% of the time in summer, then as we tilt away about 40% of the time in winter.

My 1.8m Channel master picks it all the time with no problems

afraid dish size is king the LNB make very little changes is the truth I have found with the same dishes now for 20 years+ and may different LNB's polorisers, and now just use a cheap 0.1 darkman lnb. Have a draw full of old stuff tried and did not help to get the 1.2 to work full time.
