    Suggestions for a better LNB

    Hello

I've readed here some posts about lnb's for a channelmaster,
but still, I don't know what do to / or buy next.

First of all, I have a channelmaster 1.2m with a motor in Belgium.

My problem is, these weaker signals/transponders.
Typical those of 7°W Nilesat, 26°E badr, small transponders like: 2532 instead of 27500

I've replaced my 10-15 year old lnb: (inverto black ultra 40mm)
    with a: Alps Lnbf single, 0.2db (30 euro's)
The result is slightly better, but still ... not enough.

The technician told me, to buy a more expensive lnb.
Around 60-80 euro's to get even better results.

What's the best high quality Lnb for weaker signals/transponders ?
    The money is no problem.

A bigger dish is not possible for me.
And I don't know what C120 or feedhorns are, sorry.

Lnb suggestions please ... thank you

If your Channel master is offset then Inverto Black Ultra LNB is by far the best ive tested with offset dishes i use this LNB on all 4 of my offset dishes .

If your Channel Master Dish is prime Focus then Inverto Black Pro C120 and Feedhorn

Surley you know if your dish is offset or primefocus ??
if your Channel Master Dish is offset like mine is then Inverto Black Ultra LNB and no need for Feedhorns or C120 Lnb's .

    hope that helps .

I doubt any lnb will compensate for very weak signals where only a larger dish can pull in more signal.
There is no advantage in going for a C120 lnb and channel master feed horn (if you can find one) over a good quality low noise universal LNB as suggested.
Have you checked your alignment, maybe adjusting the skew a little might help, mark the position of the LNB in the holder and twist it slightly.
With satellite dishes, bigger is better :-)

Thank you Barney, my dish is indeed offset.
Then I guess that my new LNB would be ok also (Alps Lnbf single, 0.2db)

The only thing I still can do, is to replace my 15 yo standard coax cable.
And buy a good one from: Kathrein

Unless you have a very long cable run there is no need for anything better than CT100/PF100 about 50P per metre.
You can use a cable costing £100 per metre but it still won't compensate for a weak signal at the dish. :-)
