I have just seen this info posted by William-1 on the other forum ref Spiderbox 6000 channel lists:

    Please Note:-

The current Spiderbox HD channel lists are only compatible with the original Spiderbox HD 9900, 9000 & 7000 versions using the UDB file system.
The UDB files will not work on the new Spiderbox HD 6000

The Spiderbox HD 6000 High Definition Satellite Receiver & Smartbox HD 6000 use an SSU file system,
The SSU file system is not compatible with the other the Spiderboxes HD 9900, 9000, 7000 UDB file system or visa versa.

    No, it's no clone - it's a new box.

I will add that the HD6000 which I've had for a couple of weeks has impressed me greatly, it's very small footprint means you can site it almost anywhere the picture quality is great, it has both wired and wi fi connections and there have already been two software updates.
I am very please with it.

    Yes very pleased with 6000Hd
I have been trying to build a channel list to suit my needs, it will be good if a channel editor becomes available.
    wiFi Ok
IKS OK With more opening than I expected
set up with Sat scan v/good

As I have been using 9000Hd for several years getting around the new menu is Challenging

At my age I update different sections over each day HaHa

For the price I can't see why anyone can go wrong

    Best regards SHARK 2

Did you do a factory reset before and after the update?, that sorted it for me. But don't forget to save your channel list first.

:respect-023:Hi just wondering if anyone had success with the fix for reciever re-booting problem using the patch as suggested in post 51 above. Tried it myself this morning but didn't fix it for me at least (and yes I do believe I followed the correct procedure: including the two factory resets). Is there anything obvious I'm missing I wonder? thanks in advance.:applause-038:

Try again without the factory resets.
    Worked for me.

just ordered one of these Spider6000 HD to replace my faulty old Spider9000HD
i ordered it here with Satpimps Sponsor @ Goldwafer.com

i believe it was Goldwafers where i bought the now faulty Spider9000HD i cant fault the service from goldwafers i mean at least 3 OR 4 or so years and box [ Spider9000HD ] came with only a 1 year guarentee and i manged to get about 4 years outta it ..and the tuner is dead now but im ok with that it had a real good long life so no complaints here from me and im due an upgrade as Spider9000 HD is pretty much history and not easy finding one nowadays anyhow so that for me is good enuff reason to upgrade to the newer Spider6000HD
hopefully there is no issues delivering to Rep.Ireland ?
my order went thro' successfully at least .
Reading this thread here has just been a huge reason why Satpimps is such a great informative Sat forum you guys deserve massive Respect thanks to every one of you that posted in this thread its been a superb help to me in making my decision to buy this box .

All i want with Spider6000HD is a card slot and Home network sharing and ability to use N lines just like old Spider9000HD that is the only thing im not just 100% certain about .

    ---
    cheers Barney

No cam, pretty sure no homeshare but n lines are good.
Its a basic stb with a gift.
But there are good updates regulary which you would expect.
Editor to be released soon afaik.
The 9000 was excellent kit for the money.

so what you are actually asking is if it can be used as an n line server like the 9000 and 7000 can ?

no idea is my answer, although you could use a linux box with oscam for that task and have the tm5402 and the spider 6000 just as receivers as both can receive n lines

maybe somebody else knows if it can be used to serve out n lines ?
