I was in the market for one of these but Mrs Cloud said it was too big,...so I got the 8000 46".
It is stunning, and my mate who works for Kurries was impressed with the pictures from the Solo2 too.

If you are happy with 55 inches then IMHO it's the best on the market. I have the 40inch equivilent.

It only comes with two pairs of 3D glasses.
Are they expensive to purchase more?

There are five in my family.

Two pairs will be enough for me and the son to watch football.

Super Sunday in 3D is the dogz.

If you get Passive 3D you get more glasses, they are lighter and thus easier to bare, they are cheaper and they don't need batteries. Having compared both technologies I personally think Passive has the edge as do most enthusiasts.

I have a 55" LG and it's stunning. Only downside with 3D is there is not enough of it but what there is, is well worth a look! I don't think much of the 2D to 3D option either as it could actually be much better than it is.

....and no a 55" screen is NOT too big! I sit about 5 feet away from mine and it awesome!

I currently have a 45 inch rear projector Sagem television and it is very good, but more 3D stuff will be made available so perhaps it is time for me to move with the times.

Just bought the 40" Samsung with '7000' in the title. Went in shop to buy one with '5500' in the title but the picture sharpness difference was huge. Still sitting in its box in lounge unfortunately! Is there a list of 3D channels anywhere?

Same as the 8000 but just a slightly different bezel. I expect you know that though M8.

got the 40 inch 8000 will agree sound is not the best but can live with that for the picture quality.
