    1) no its not, it uses bespoke patches unlike dreamboxes and vu`s that use the linux os

    2) I dont think it uses apps

    3) no there isnt a section on any of them here (its an openbox clone)

its against the rules to mention other sites on here, but try s*yb*x dot cc

I've got a skybox F3 and, as Echelon says, they are basically openbox clones, sort of.
Just google for skybox F5 firmware and you'll find what you're looking for, plenty of info out there.

@ Donki "My Obox lasted three weeks before I took a hammer to it" I know its an old post but .........

It still made me laugh m8, Ive a tight mate that was told he could get bat and ball freebies on 28 using this box if he could only get someone to set it up for him, namely me, having read up on them now, I think I'd be doin' the same as you.

Easiest to input using a usb stick. Or if going manually go Menu, Network (Section) and hit 6666 on your remote.

Ah! We can't talk about actual C line content or providers here. You need to use a search engine and ask someone for a test line prior to perhaps paying for a month or so. They will tell you what to put on the usb stick. Don't get overly excited! You will be lucky to find a good supplier out of all of the bandits out there!!

If you bought the F3 recently then no need upgrade firmware it doesn't need a patched firmware, using a remote press menu>network settings the camd settings will be there if not press 6666 and the camd sttings will appear.

To put your line in open note pad, copy and paste your line information on to it. Do save as and save to your usb pen as CCcam.cfg.

Stick your usb pen on your F3. Go to tools, upgrade by usb. Use arrows to select Misc files. On the next bit choose CCcam. When all is done make sure your line is active and reboot your box. I am saying all this from memory.
