    Icecrypt S3500

    Hi, been working on this Icecrypt S3500 since xmass, read as much as i can but still can not make it connect using the Xcam configure. what have i done, well out of the box i think i followed everything to a T.

    plugged it in and backed up the original firmware.

    rebooted and installed FAC.ICECRYPT.S3500HDCCI.v2.11.30. 2012Dec13
    rebooted and done a factory reset.
    rebooted and installed plugin Icecam_Xcam_07112012
    so far everything seems right.
    I can to enter my clines in as they should be but still get an error saying cannot connect check Lan or cardclient.conf

    I know i must be overlooking something here, could someone give me some pointers please.
    Thank you

    this works for me in xcam on my icecrypt 4000s (this example was altered to made up details)

    so cccam2 then hostname , then port , then login id and login password

    cccam2:hostname.gotdns.org:51234: 0/0/0:ice3500name:ice3500pass
    details like the above can be found in our plugin or tools section and in various threads and icecrypt forums here

    given that you only joined today, I suspect you have not bothered reading through the sections

    it is also mandatory to post an introduction post first, as is clearly stated in the rules here

    thank you

    I havent seen any intro posts when I posted, but have found it now, thanks

    but the info for inserting a c line (and n line too) was given here a long time ago

    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...-5-by-KinkDink

    you could post a fictional line in the format you are using for comparison

    I use flash fxp, but dcc or cuteftp or filezilla of fireftp (or any ftp) should do the job easily

    I hear both of you, i have not been editing any files, I thought it was all done in xcamconfigure with the remote control. is this what im over looking. I did notice when i pressed Zero on the remote and the ccam info comes up it does not match what i have put in the xcamconfig by the remote control.

    cannot say I ever used that configure tool, always used ftp myself like oaktye uses

    obviously if it doesnt match its not working, so try an ftp program like dcc (dreambox control centre) or filezilla or fireftp or any ftp program you are used to

    sorted

    Thanks for your help chaps but i kept at it and got it sorted just by usb only, it was simple as it always is, all i had to do was cut and paste the file server names ect into the the newcamd list file on the usb plugin keys folder and update the plugin on the stb. sorted.

    I had to add this to the bottom of the list file or it only decoded for about 5 secs.

    CWS_KEEPALIVE = 200
    CWS_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 200
    CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000

    I used this plug in.

    best i can do, hope it helps someone else.
