Mine arrived today but I am a complete noob to setting these up and using them. A mate who recommended me here is talking me through it so when I am set up and running I'll leave some feedback.

The TD has been great for me, rock solid ,even with the lack of support . But no HD means it's now banished to the loft to keep my Humax5400 and Philips CTU900 company :o15:
cmon palios it cant take days to set it up, where did you get it so soon from? how good is it etc, er is it easy to set up??
Its a better box than the Ultimo when it comes to response and speed, setting up is the same as any other Vu+ box.
I have never had a Vu+ receiver before and the Solo 2 seems to be just right for me.
But obviously a few questions will be pertinent such as about Signal strength and also picture quality when compared with say a DM800.
£299 is a bit more that I was hoping but c'est la vie. I'll start putting some aside but it's gonna be after Xmas and based on my Uno experience it might be a good idea to wait it out a bit to see how many developers produce images for it. :respect-053: If it takes off like the original solo & duo then I'm definately in. :o11:
I got a 800SE for now which does all I want for now including runnning BH images :respect-054::number-one-043: but I hear rumours of new features coming that only the new boxes will be able to cope with.:

My Azbox needs JTAG, so probably get one of these now.
Signal strength is better and so is picture quality, I have not owned an 800 for a couple of years now but you can't really compare the two as they are leagues apart.

Blackhole team have already released an image for the Solo2, so they are definately supporting it
