Is anyone interested in this section??

WE (and I mean we) can all learn a new programming language
    but
I'm not going to start if no one follows

One of the 'problems' given for my C course many years ago -

write a programme that simulates a coffee machine:
    money/change/choice selection

    quite enough for a beginner!!

I hope they'll be more interest too mate.

Those that are interested please post in this thread.

Maybe some beginner projects would be a start as oldfart has suggested.

I had to do a vending machine at uni in pascal, probably the longest program I have ever written. Exactly the same spec as your C one. I haven't touched a programming language since so as long as they start basic is should be interesting.

I can't give any help in python programming on the dreambox (or any of the other linux sat boxes)
so, if anyone knows anything about that,it would be great to hear from them.

well maybe if you just got on with this you might well just generate a bit of interest from some peeps here
especially with the way that the E2 plugins are now being done
not suggesting that you or us try to start running before we can walk but there would be a goal to aim for eventually
so come on and start generating some interest......

well .. I have no idea how to do plugins. I had some example code, but none of it works!
    _emanuel@i-have-a-dreambox.com
wrote a guide, but I guess enigma2 developments have overtaken the code and he hasn't updated the guide.
so, until someone can find a guide, with some code, I can't help out.

@St.O - the quote about 'haven't done much in the past 5 years' was about C
