I have had some limited success. What I did was:
Connect to the receiver using telnet (user name root) and enter a command of the form:
mount -t nfs 192.168.1.3:/volume1/video /STORAGE/NET
(Change the IP address and path to match your NAS.) The NFS mount seems to take quite a long time. (Note that this command is, unlike on Windows, case sensitive.)
On the receiver menus go to Storage Manager and set the current device to Network Drive. Under Network Setting set the folder to something of the form, to match the NFS mount:
192.168.1.3/volume1/video
Then set the user name and password to match your NAS and select Connect.
Finally go to the Recording Option menu and set the recording and/or time shift devices to Network Drive.
Does anyone know an easy way to automate this process?
