    ET 9200 Help

Hi i am a lucky or maybe unlucky owner to an et9200. Today i tried to flash it with an other image. But for somehow when the box is booting the logo is in the screen but nothing happens. I wonder if there is anyway like with dreamup to save the box or make it as i got it or do i have to send it to my the re-seller? Or is there any sort of recovery image that i can flash it with?

    Regards

Have you tried reflashing the original image?

Check you have the correct bootloader installed and the image you've tried to install is suitable for that bootloader.

Latest bootloader will show 9X00 on the display when powered off and on. If it shows 9200 on the display then you have an older bootloader.

It would be more help if you'd included in your post what image and version number you've installed.

Hi and thanks for the answers. well i bought the box last friday and then i first flash it with For ET9200, upgrade to bootloader ET9x00 that was no problem. After that i flashed it with OpenPLi-2.1-beta-et9x00-20120401_usb.zip and the box worked great until yesterday. I did had some problem to install the internal hdd but everything else worked as i should. So yesterday i tried to flash it with Open AAF ET9X00 Release Image 28.02.2012 and after that the box didnīt work. When i try to power it on the dispal shows ET9X00 and on my tv i can see the logo "Xtrend the smart gatebox for linux tv.

My question is if the box is broken or can i save it and make it as it was when i receaved it and after that upgrade the bootloader and put a working image and watch it. With Dreambox i could use dreamup and is there a simulare program for Clarke tech?

Your bootloader is up to date.

The box isn't broken, you just need to reflash it again with another image.

    Try installing the ViX image.

Delete all the files in the 9X00 folder on your pen drive then copy a new image to the 9X00 folder on your pen drive.

Then flash the new image like you did before.

Many thanks to you hda5 you made my day and my box is running. I was able to flash it with an vix image now i have to put cccam and then i am set to go. If i want to flash it with an other image, do i have to put a new bootloader or can i flash it directly?

Once again thank you very much for your help

You won't have to update the bootloader until the time comes when future images are released that require a newer bootloader.

I'm pleased to hear you are all sorted now

Try installing the bootloader I've attached below.

Ignore the ET9000 and ET9200 folders inside the attachment.

The folder you need to extract to your pen drive is the ET9x00 folder.
    Attached Files Attached Files

If you did everything correctly you should have a folder on your USB Pen drive called et9x00
Inside that folder should be 2 files

    cfe.bin
    imageversion

Yes those files i tried to flash to the box but the box is broken so for the 2nd time i have to send the box to the store. If the box was fine those files are good? i have seen other bootloader et9000 but i didnīt dare to use it, to be continued............

Ask the store to install the latest bootloader for you.

You have to copy and paste the folder only! not the rar. file
only the et9x00 folder nothing more than that

you are doing something wrong to kill the box so easy.
what you shall do is like this.,

Format an USB to FAT23 format, possibly have the usb totaly emty after the format.
download the Bootloader from here or the Xtrend home, add to PC then extract the files.
After the extract there you will see a folder named et9x00 ,
copy that folder from PC where you save it into the ROOT of the USB.

Turn of the box, add the USB to pone of the USB ports in the box, then turn on the box and see what happends
Follow the display from there on, i mean the box must find new bootloader then you pres OK on the front display of the box, not the remonte

the same way you upload the image to.

    good luck
