No it will not work in a clone. You must have a patched image, latest are now sll84b and they will work in Your 2.x clone

No mate...Try this is you have no ca found...

This summary "tutorial" to explain how to fix a DM800 not booting with the code "ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND" on the screen.

    Cause of the error:
    - bad flash
    - official image flashed

    -> ERR01 : NO CA FOUND

    What doesn't work anymore:
    - no boot
    - no network connection
    - no possible image upgrade
    - DreamUp unable to upgrade even with serial cable

    Solution:
    1) Use DreamUp Patched with serial (null modem) cable
    2) Choose COM1, connect, power ON DM800 and wait
    3) After a few seconds the DM800 screen will come back with an IP address
    4) Type in that address in IE
    5) Flash first a BootLoader (sim201_ssl84b.nfi(If this is your bootloader)6) reboot DM800 and hold power button
    7) Wait for IP to appear on DM800 screen
8)Type in that address in IE
    9) Flash your desired image

I have also attached bootloader 84b to this thred....

Also for image you should try... Dreamelite-BlackHole_PHOENIX_DM800HD-SIM2-SSL84 ..best image ive tried hand's down...

Hope this helps resolve your problem..

(Thank you to the source for the No cA error)

Isn't there a recovery button on the back of your box? It's like a black pin sticking out. You hold it in and turn on & wait until the recovery menu appears. Then you can flash the box across the LAN.

It will be a newer DM800se clone then. The older dm800 se and dm800 dont have this button.

    tested on 500hd and 800hd

    1. switch the box off.
    2. Plugin LAN cable AND USB connect to PC.
    3. Start dreamup on PC.
    4. Tick the 'use network' box in dreamup
    5. Set your PC ip address in top left (where it says "local IP(PC)")
    6. Set an IP for your dreambox in "Remote IP(box)".
    7. Select the COM port which is your newly installed UART bridge COM port (I guess it will be COM15.
    8. Click "Connect"
    9. It should tell you to switch the DM500-800HD on.
    10. Switch on the DM500-800HD and it should download the "flash loader"
    11. When it finishes, click on "Flash", select the image you want to download.
    12. It should now download the image to the dreambox and start flashing it. Wait for it to finish. Do not switch the dreambox off while it is doing it. It takes a couple of minutes.
    13. Switch the box off and then on. It should now boot the new image.

Connect both the LAN and the USB of the dreambox to the PC = 2 cables: 1 x ethernet and 1 x minUSB to USB.
If you plug the dreambox directly to the PC without a router or switch you need a crossover ethernet cable. When using a router or switch you need a 'normal' ethernet cable.
according to the manual at DMM you can flash the DM500-800HD without connecting the LAN (ethernet) and just using the USB , but THIS DOES NOT WORK - flashing fails every time. SO you HAVE to connect both LAN and USB between PC and dreambox and follow the instructions exactly.

Hate to be a party pooper but when my DM800 Clone died last year with the same error I tried everything to fix it to no avail and ended up it scrapping it. Never did get to the bottom of the problem but suspect it may either have been something to do with my running Ferrari images on a SIM2 box or it overheating. :(
