Fooking Nightmare ?? But think i have solved the problem???

I had a similar issue the other week took down a 1.1m triax with motec 2100 diseqc motor, and replaced it with a channel master 1.2m with polar mount and 18" actuator.

I had the pole 100% vertical in all directions, I could find 4.8e, 7e, 9e, 10e, 13e no probs (didn't bother looking further east), but I couldn't for the life of me find 0.8w.

I could even get 5w, 7w and 8w but nothing from 0.8w.

Eventually I figured that the elevation of the dish had to be out a little, so I gave the elevation a tweak (sorry can't for the life of me remember if I needed to go up or down) but it was around 1 maybe 1.5mm out, as soon as I tweaked it 0.8w came beaming in with around 90% signal on the telnor test card channel (btv-1/swedbank).

Rabby M8 - why dont you just pay a really nice guy to come and set it up and save all your time for programming all the boxes you have? You must know someone who could do it decently? Yea - but think of all the money invested in boxes and things and they are lying useless!! A little speculation to ac***ulate I feel!! Had a similar prob meself in France - setting up a dish after about six years away - and the elevation I had written down had changed - Drove meself mad since I thought I knew it had to work. Several days later I looked it up and a drop of 8 degrees!! LOL - I look forward to Rabby suddenly crying eureka as he solves it and at my age doin it meself is all that is left!!. probably best looking for al jazeerah on hispasat , I have used a diseqc switch and fixed dish on 30w for the time being and next year its being changed to a dm motor and ultrablack twin lnb

there is a full list of transponders in the dish forum but I bet you never looked at it

Thats deffo not 7 west i did an install for a customer at the weekend 1.1m Black Ultra and a TM5402HD which has a cracking sensitive tuner and managed around 61% snr on play movies 11391 V 27500 3/4

im complete opposite side of uk , but this one is fta and quite strong down here ,
alsalam 12341 h 3/4 27500 wait till after 9 pm to do a scan its a stronger signal then.
but i only get it about 50%, most post seem to say further north you go weaker it is .

Its been a pretty constant signal so far from what i have seen, The 61% i did at the weekend was mid afternoon but it was a pretty glorious day for november and i only see a few more DB later at night depending on the weather.
