    hd tv repair

    where would you take your lcd tv for repair,,??got this internitent picture,comes and goes,taken the back off,, cant find any bulging or leaking thinimibobs,,any advice would be appreciated,,apart from that everything hunkydori on it,,2 yrs old,37in,regza,,,ide like to repair it for the bedroom,,any advice would be appreciated apart from binin it

    Maybe a backlight / invertor Fault !
    Classical with some "cheap" Lcd's .

    dont think it was cheap to buy,,might have been to manufacture,,paid around £450 for it 2ys ago,,dont think that there 's much wrong with it ,,cracking picture on it when it works ,,do some reading about inverters tonight,,thanks for response pasette,,have you had to change an inverter on yours at any time??if so was it difficult,,i am half competent with the old soldering iron,,fixed a few cams in mi time

    having read your post... thank goodness i just renewed my lg 47" lcd tellie insurance for another 12 months £6pm...

    do you know the model number ?
    i can look through my fault database tomorrow at work.
    inverter pcb's are normally ok to change, its the dismantling to get to it that takes the time !

    Try to see where are located the inverters, then replace the bigest capacitors (or all of them) !
    Even if they look good, this is how i have repaired many lcd's monitors.
