Probably preparation for Astra 1N (which will temporarily reside at 28.2E).

Expect quite a few changes in the next few weeks as the FTA stuff moves to 1N.

@Aldo.This Information was posted as going to happen by me on 21-09-2011 11:26 AM. This was just an update to inform forum members it had happened. Now do you have a problem with that? It's time some of the childish remarks made on this forum stopped, at one time members were here to help each other, now we seem to have lots of premadonas.

Aldo keith was talking about this thread not the one you linked to.
Also at the end of your post in the other thread you wrote this
"More info later & more changes when Astra 1N arrives @ 28.2 east currently moving East & will arrive in few of days time."
I think thats what Bob was trying to do lets not turn this into another slanging match over something petty.

People seem to get steamed up about different threads addressing the same topic. There's no need for that from any of us.

I was too lazy to find the older link so just re-posted what we had been saying in the earlier thread.

Many of us ex-pats have been watching the changes that are likely to occur when Astra 1N comes on-stream with some trepidation as it is predicted to have a tighter UK beam than Astra 2D so could need bigger dishes. Hopefully I won't be affected as I have a 120cm for feed hunting but I prefer to get 28E from my fixed 80cm (with 3 LNBs; 28E, 19E and 13E) as even the GF can work that .

I seem to remember a cheap option for expats on the costa blanca was to use a 1m dish to receive BBC News UK on 2A as opposed to getting a 2.4m dish for 2D - looks like that's over now...

The ex-pats in Cyprus will need a 2.4m dish, 13e and 19e new generation birds will have tighter steerable beams. Let’s hope Ka at 9e is not the way forward.

UK BBC News has better UK weather than BBC World- so you can see when its raining back home and feel 'terrible' for everyone back home:Chevy_anim:

Rescan this transponder and depending on your STB it will either be as BBCNews in new channels or be alongside the old one in the main channel lists. Make sure you have DVB-s set too. Good Luck - brain
