Can't access menu, EPG or change channels on my Clarke tech 2100 plus

    Hi all,

I have a CT 2100+ which I have recently updated (last week) to the latest firmware and have been using and Irdeto CAM to watch the Czech Skylink package with an official card. This has been working fine for the last several days with no problems, but today I tried to get into the EPG, menu or change channels and nothing happens.

The red light flashes on the receiver when I press the buttons on the remote so that would seem to be OK. It seems to be a problem with the receiver itself because when I press the channel up or down buttons on the front of the receiver, nothing happens. It was working fine about an hour ago, it has literally just happened in the last 20 mins.

I am able to power on and off both with the remote and with the button on the receiver, but not able to do anything else.

Does anyone know why this is or how I can resolve this please?

    Many thanks,

    Rob

Hi Rob, I used to have the same receiver as you which is why I'm replying to your post.

What I would try is unplugging the receiver from the mains for a couple of minutes. If that doesn't help try again and let the box boot up without the card being in the slot.

Those are the sorts of things I do if a box locks up on me, I think nearly all boxes lock up occasionally. I hope you get it working.

Thanks Micko50, I tried that and hey presto! It's working again (for now).

I've just got a feeling the box might be on the way out though I've no idea what I would replace it with (that's for another thread I think!!)

    thanks again for your help!
