a few things to note re bootloaders etc

after a having a play today, i thought id pass on the info.

bootloader files ARE specific to the reseller id, the bootloader also includes the reseller id - explained:

i had maxi-u-boot installed, i had octagon f/w and reseller set.

but i wanted to try the new 1.54 loader.

so, i used the recovery tool to put on the original u-boot - this puts 1.21 loader on, AND defaults your STB to ATEVIO, you cannot then change the reseller ID in the recoveyr tool, it locks it to ATEVIO.

using porter express, i tried installing the icecrypt 1.54 loader, but it errored (****!!) it continued to work ok, so i rebooted, and put it back into recovery tool, i then downloaded the ATEVIO loader 1.54 and installed it worked fine.

booted up, and for the heck of it, i downlaoded the atevio f/w 1.09.28

LOOKS EXACTLY like ICECRYPTS (unlike Octagon f/w)

as the bootloader didnt appear to do anything, and i wanted maxiboot back (for E2 playing) , I then reinstalled maxiboot (via front usb), after it installed, it allowed me to change reseller id again,

COOL.


NOW when i boot up into ori f/w (via maxiuboot) - and go into information, it shows im on loader 1.21 _ EVEN tho i did install 1.54

so maxiuboot must include bootloader 1.21 in its build.
