Yes mate, think it's only on the TM6900HD Super series where we are experiencing this confounded jerkiness - all on 10E as being discussed in this thread!:respect-055:

I therefore decided to try watching the Spurs v WBA game using the "pause live TV" feature (press PAUSE to freeze the picture and start recording, then PAUSE again to resume watching from where you were). This eliminated all of the picture jerkiness, but there were some minor glitches on the sound (not audio sync problems).

Of course, this remedy will work only if you have a hard disk drive connected.
this is a very good finding m8 and i tried and its working OK on my TM6900HD Super with patch 739p, I've posted this in another forum i hope you don't mind

True, but on 739P the audio gradually goes out of sync!
726P is only patch on 'normal' play which is perfect in EVERY way on PLTV 10E!:respect-055:

I've tried "bamber" method and sound was in sync with the picture with 739p patch. my way is I press pause-> record 10 seconds -> press pause and works

Yes I know what you both mean Tony and its certainly better than nothing, but its still a shame we have to actually 'do' all this to obtain an unjerky audio synced transmission, albeit 10 secs off being truly 'live'? lol!!!:respect-055:

Actually, no digital TV channel is truly "live" because the processing of the signal prior to transmission adds a few seconds' delay, then your receiver adds a few more seconds to process the signal into a picture. The delays are longer with HD than with SD transmissions.

To appreciate just how much delay is there, try watching a football match while listening to the commentary on an analogue radio channel.

Yes but you know what I mean mate, we shouldn't really have to rely on a PVR/playback facility to get round a software quirk - plus what about those who don't actually have it anyway?:respect-055:
