White card update in Spiderbox, Urban myth or not?

Hi heard a rumor that a Spiderbox can pass the stay alive details you need to have updated on the White **** cards to stop them from going dead & needing replaced into the original paired **** box. True or not? If it is true this would be a first for a none Linux based box. Cheers.

Can a provider kill your card while it's in a Spider?? Or will it just stop working when it reaches the expiry date in the entitlements??

Spiderbox get in life the white card easy...even update them for sure...

Distributor in Spian using Spiderbox HD to much only for that card in Spain becouse working perfect..

well my white card should have expired last month due to me cancelling sky but it's still working in the spider hope it dies a natural death of old age in a week or two

slightly off topic, can anybody point me to a tutorial on how to get white uk card to work in spider 9000. I think i need to enter the paired box number into spider??

i neved enterd box key works ok not sure if the premium channels works only had the basic package

deffo needs the box key for any premiums ( sports and movies ) , details of which can be found in the spider help sections and also the dreambox help sections on the forums here

Works Fine for ME ?? But do not use my SKY Card in the Spiderbox [ Tried it ] Works?? Enoegh said ?? Had One Fried in my Technomate 6900HD

I've had my dish facing 28E for three days now but card will still not open FIVE HD.

Yes, I know, but mine stopped working. So, rather that put it back in my sly box I left it in Spider for it to update, but I hasn't, yet.

Satcat - did you need a boxkey or anything?

I got a FSFS white a while back but it's never activated while I've had it in the Spider. Pulled it out now and whacked in a (preactivated) Italia card which seems to be working perfectly but I would like my white UK one to get working.

No.
I don't subscribe to any package, my card is one I got given by someone who did, but stopped. So the card is only used to open C4HD, 5HD and the other FIVE channels.
It took 3 days to activate, but all I did was leave Spider on FIVE HD and leave it switched on. (obviously keep dish on 28E)
