    Reseller id and original firmware

I understand that during the process of installing maxiboot my icecrypt's ID was changed to Atevio 7000. The box would not allow me to install .83 f/w. I have downloaded the same firmware from here, but my receiver does not seem to see it on my usb. I did extract it into the root folder. Any ideas why this is happening?
And by the way, the AAF team have transferred their website to a new domain: www.aaf-digital.info and they are doing the same what Octago has-the internet software update system. some info can be found here.

That is soooo good to know. I thought that the firmware versions were identical for all the variations of icecrypt. I upgraded to .83 f/w version using Atevio f/w and there is no blue button openTV option in the EPG menu! Is this possible ColdAsICE?

Thanks ManikM. I have to revert back to Ice then. I did like it and used it to set timers.

The HD Freaks plugin to change resellers ID has has been around since May last year. The latest 04 version requires a different PIN number which is now the same across all resellers.

    Hi Guys.

First Time post for me here.
Have been a loyal Dreambox follower for many years, originally starting off with a Nokia 9500s, then onto a Nokia Dbox2 then through DM 7020s 500s, 800s and a 8000s.
Have recently taken on a Ultraplus 9200 Box, which is from what i gather a rebadged Octagon 1028Hd box or possibly a icecrypt 4000s box.
What i want to do is get away from the stock Ultraplus image and load on if possible an Enigma2 image.
I find the stock ultraplus image to be very basic, and not to user adjustable. I'd like to be able to do what i have done with my Dreamboxes and load on personal skins, Softcams etc from either FTP or online site.
Ive read about AAF Recovery tool and that i will need to change my vendor ID of the ultraplus to one of either the Octagon or Icecrypt.
What i would like is some guidance or a step sequence of what i need to do.

    any help would be awesome..

    Cheers:
