    What is the best quiet DVD Player for 8000

    Some advice please. My DM 8000 came fitted with a Sony AD-7690H. Tried a
    DVD-Ram & it wouldn't play.
    Tried Sainsburys own Red DVD, no problem & quiet. From there it was downhill. Traxdata & Verbatim were really noisy.

    Would have liked to stick with slot load but did read a coment that they were
    noisier than the tray DVD Player/writer.

    What would members recomend for the STB that is a quiet player & play DVD
    Ram as we use these for every day use on Panasonic Combo.

    Can get Samsung or LG, not so sure about Pioneer being good on slot load.

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards catoro.

    Dvd

    @cataro
    Interesting since I have a similar problem with pirate DVDs and some recorded but only while loading - it seems to make quite a row till they are finally read and then all is quiet, as it always is with standard DVDs. It seems it may be something to do with the machine as Snakie has a similar problem. My player was a very reasonably priced one from M*****s, tray loading - about £39. Brain

    Thanks for the replies snakie & brian. Just wrote a longer reply but the Firewall wiped it out. Have ordered a Samsung tray loader to test, retail price
    was £21-00 but got it for less. Have also sourced a Samsung with slot but more expensive & supplier couldn't get one for me or it would have been cheaper.

    @snakie if I'm not mistaken optiarc is a Sony product, also ordered a 2.5 to
    3.5 Drive adapter.
