Any LCD Engineer - Help

Hi

My phillips 30pf9946 LCD lost picture yesterday. Only sound is there. It Worked fine all over the years. Black screen now. Any suggestion please. Regards

not sure if you would actually get a new inverter or a refurbished one.

couldn't find any new phillips 30pf9946 tv's on the net,
so wouldn't know if it would be worth it m8ey.

my " lg tv "insurance that they include for 1 year expired,, so they offered me a extension of £5.49 a month that i thought was very reasonable, especially as the tellie when i got it was about £1000.

Thanks for your reply. Inverter boards are expensive to buy. There are people who repairs inverter boards as they say but i don't know how reliable they are? Will look into it and decide soon. Regards

Sorry to state the obvious but have you tried the scart lead,assuming you have it connected by scart.
If it is connected to a sly box,also try unplugging and reconnecting the receiver,also remove the card and wipe the contacts.
If you have already tried this I'll get back in my box.

On my Panisonic in Menu then Picture there is a banner labeled Picture Display if this is switched off you lose the picture ie Black Screen but you keep the sound worth a look. The reason for this switch is that if you put digital Radio via Free View or Free Sat through your tv surround sound , you can turn unwanted picture off but obviously to watch tv again you must remember to turn on again.
