    bluray back ups and panasonic player

    a friend of mine as done some blu ray back ups
    they are burned to dual layer discs.
    they are full 1080p picture. but no extras, subs etc
    the quality is superb. but on my panasonic player. i can only watch the movie. i cant fast forward, or skip chapter. if i try, the film just starts from the beginning. this problem does not exist on. sony machines or ps3. any idea what is wrong when using panasonic

    Copy

    Depends how the copy was made. I use Power2Go by Cyberlink. This copies everything.Ask your friend if he could possibly use this programe in the copy process If the disc is copy protected use anyDVD. I have a Panasonic Player and as yet no problems

    I tried to copy a recent release with Nero and my Panny said it needed a upgrade to play it yet it played the original no problem as I understood you could copy once ,but its connected to the net and no upgrade has been seen and tried on another player it said upgrade from linux required,has anyone come across this before?

    try on 50gb blu ray disc it will be ok

    I too have been using a Panasonic player for a while now and have never had such a problem, I think it's afe to say it must must be the method of ripping your friend used.
