    2000hdcl gave up the ghost 2nite

    Watching tv with the hummy 2000hd heard a loud pop then it was dead, seems the big black capacitor 120 uF 450volt on the psu board has given up the ghost, will try to fix tmr, but as this box has servered me well with littlt support, think i will just move on,,,, luckily have the arion 8000hd as backup.

    check e*ay for one . i would buy a newer box as twin cam boxes are from £50-200.
    due to age of the 2000 3+ years old .

    update

    Hummy 2000hd fixed now,,, was not the big black capacitor but 2 smaller ones c101 and c106 that were bulging in the psu,,,, swapped them today and the hummy lives to fight another day,,,,
