It's working on my Technomate, but with the sound out of sync, there was an hd dog during Home and Away this evening, so they are coping what Ch4 do.

Driving a Ferrari F40 is free if you already own one and have paid for the petrol.

Should be free to view (until we change the cards and charge you another 20 quid...)

Sly don't miss a trick, I hear that uncle rupe's new business model for the Times online website (1 quid a day to access the stuff) has gone down like a lead balloon, and they now have fewer visitors on the site than The Independent.

I love the Sunday Times, the only paper I buy, but you can spot an "uncle rupe" article a mile off, last week it was justifying paying for news websites, previously it's been stuff about the UK libel laws, and rubbishing Grodon Broon... I can put up with the sh1t because the rest of it is good.

I notice in every case Sly is mentioned in the rag, we get the self-promoting blurb "BSlyB, in which News Corporation, parent company of The Times".

It's getting a habit with me to check that this statement is not going to be missed in any shape or form when discussing Rupe's connection with the ST.

    Question Di*ibox

Am I missing something here, but no-one ANYWHERE has mentioned the fact that as far as I am aware this channel is not yet showing on the Sly program guide - odd?
(Especially when we cant scan it in 'manually' as its an S/R of 29500?)

Probably because most people on here either don't use or don't have Sky boxes.

I haven't got a Sly HD box but are you saying that the HD boxes are restricted to 22000 and 27500 like the SD boxes.

If so the 29500 is a ruse so that it can launch on FreeSat first (but then why does it need a subby card). Unless it is just being used to distribute HD to Freeview transmitters.

it would not appear in the official sky epg until its a "proper" channel with its own ident , and was added to the sky epg by sky themselves in one of their epg slots

the same applies for official virgin boxes too

this was also what happened when itv1HD was broadcasting as a test , and then as freesat only , and you could add it to "other channels" on some of the epg,s , but not all

I fail to see the relevance of the sky epg not showing a "test channel" , although I would expect that when 5HD goes permanently live this will be sorted out , as will the planned bbc1HD channel also due in the autumn , but the transponder may well change

one reason most of us use these better boxes is for their extra capabilities

but I also do believe that a lot of members on here also own sky boxes too
