boot loader question

the recent E2 bootloader allows you to select any Fortis box, ie. ICE, Octagon, Atevio etc...

What would happen if i chose Octagon> Would the box fail to boot, and would i be able to set the bootloader back to IceCrypt?

If i changed it to Octagon, would it boot up to a point where i could put Octagon software on?

I tried changing the bootloader to octagon and tried the 1018 E2 image. The box boots as normal with the octagon bootloader.

so the Octagon bootloader will load IceCrypt firmware at least until the point u can choose to install Octagon firmware?

Yeah I loaded the octagon bootloader and were watching TV just fine. I then tried the E2 image from the octagon site but got no joy so I switched back to the original. By the way when you use the bootloader plugin to switch to another box's bootloader remember you will need the relevent code. On the icecrypt the code for switching bootloader in the first instance is 1407. When I went to switch back I had to use 1018 I think it was for the octagon bootloader.
