Canīt understand all this nagging ?

    Have an AZ Elite

Works very good for what I us it for: Watching Tellie and sharing with a few friends.

Have a very good picture, even in HD. Easy to understand - even easier to update and configure for my needs.

Got a smart interface, YouTube works fine.

Some problems with the epg but I do have papers.

Recording and playback, easy to handle.

Lots of small good-to-have programs like MaZe on the Net

So, is all this becouse of the CCC problem ? Easy to fix, get a clone DM 500

I am rather happy with this box, works better than my (old) 7020

So, why all this nagging ? :iamwithstupid:

Yes, it's a good sat receiver but poor media player.

and some people wants to get for what they paid.
    money doesnt grow on trees.
vu+ solo is the same price as Azbox Premium 299euros.
the box is ok, but still alot to be done in the firmware.
the firmware is still a beta, with close source.
maybe in the future there will be a good firmware, and the box will be great,
but meanwhile other boxes are on stock, to compare.
opensat must work faster for a good firmware.

I bought the Azbox in good hope it would do the basic things right, good channel list, good epg, good media player, twin tuners, good cccam support...

Unfortunately after over a year for waiting for all these things they never came through! It's not that us people who switched to the VU wanted a dreambox, we just wanted a box that works well. IMO, for Ģ350 which i paid for my Azbox, it's well not worth it! For Ģ50 extra i get EPG, good channel listing, twin tuner, perfect CCcam... unfortunately, no media. But i got an Xbox for that. Primarily the Azbox is a Sat reciever, and i personally do not think it's a good one. This isn't a massive moan, it's just an answer to the original question.

I have still got my Azbox, and i'm hoping that something changes and a final release or a new firmware is released. If that happens I will get it out again and use it. But... since going to VU, never really even give it a thought.

Although, i'm pleased you all find it a good Sat box, i wish i could!

Oh and as for seeing where VU stands. The current firmware is absolutely perfect. There's nothing to change, it's flawless. So seeing where it is in year is not needed. It's at it's best already.

Does that not take all the fun out of it?

Well yeah totally, i agree, if i had the time to mess around with the azbox and try different things and be willing to play around to get it to work then yeah, i'd love too, it would be a great hobby.

Unfortunately, I don't have that time and needed something that just worked.

So yeah, i understand why people like the Az for the development side of things, it would be interesting if you were "into it" :coolgleamA:

I thought I was buying a horse, when I bought my AzBox.
why should we use a clone, I have an original DM500 from Germany.
and why should we use 2 recievers, or more.
CCC problem, yes its a problem, a big one.
the Internet Explorer is very slow, with no language support.
    the mail does not work.
yes wow, the youtube works great, so what!!! I can watch these on my computer.
I have 8 sats, no time for youtube.
