Will try this later - thanks to Compass - not really very 'up' on all this though, assume by SSSP we mean '8281'?

Yes , see post 22. In CON** Can take several seconds to clear.

Holmroad - not sure about your super but with my standard 6800HD I select SSSP from installation option serial mode.

    Question Nogo

Downloaded Compass file, unpacked it, but message saying could not unpack some of it and got no further!
My adaptor for null modem cable etc has allocated COM port 6 of my lappie as the desired one, so how do I specify this too please?
Maybe Compass could PM me if possible please?

Have a look at posts 16 & 19 for the com port issue. Sounds like a corrupted download so worth trying again.

    Icon13 COM port 1

Tried setting up COM port 1 in Device Manager first - it WAS set to COM port 6 as I said earlier - double clicked on CILQUER.ICI exe, got black pinging panel, set to JCS Sports 1 - entered 8281 - but nothing happened!

    thanks Giga
I was talking under the TM Menu SSSP,sorry my fault i should explain that better
the only two i can get to work are this Baud rates 19.200 and 9.600 higher or lover either don't work or freeze, but i bear in mind the comport settings on the Lappy
I was wondering if there is a solution for stopping the freezing on 1 west , got an idea 13 was ok ,but i haven't test it longer

They run through a proxy, and connect to different remote servers

jsc sports on Hotbird has no breakups

CanalDigital on Thor 1 west has Frequent breaks due to heavy load on this server

its running here without freezes on TM, TM settings
    Baudrate: 115200
    Filter: Auto
    all others: OFF
cable should not be longer then 5 meter.
Good test would be: clarke tech editor, if you can down/up load the channel list without problem it should function.
Internet connection could be an issue? check firewall/router log for blocked traffic.
Times from 574 ms to 984 ms, showing in dos window, had one freeze with 5332 ms
Nordic is overloaded as you indicated: 5000 ms to 7000 ms

Cheers mate, think you must be the FIRST person ever to define 'SSSP' which frankly meant sweet FA to me up to now, despite asking several times PLUS Googling!
Assume this setting menu is on the TM6900HD Super?
