    MSNBC jerky MPEG4?

When viewing any of the NBC feeds on 15W on Cuberevo they are extrememly jerky, especially if there is any zooming in out etc.

This is probably something to do with the mpeg 4. Would this be related to the image or is there a way to retune the channels to get them showing smoothly?

    thanks.

it might be to do with the pal settings on the box,try changing it too ntsc which is what they use in the states.

Having looked into solving this problem I realise that a digital box doesn't actually use pal or ntsc. So there isn't actually a setting i can change in this sense.

Any other ideas related to the Cube?

Well - you're right, it is MPEG2 in NTSC. At 50 Hz it is jerky - but if I change the setup to 60 Hz then it is fine. That's good to know, but I have to reboot to change frequency. I probably won't bother unless MSNBC is showing something extra interesting.

Just pleased that the problem is solved.

    Hi ,

Had jerky motion on the BBC HD watching the wold cup football . This was resolved by setting the 1080i to 50hz from 60hz and this resolved the issue.

    Cheers
