xCam / Mcas Installer V1.0 by KinkDink
For ICECRYPT S4000 HD PVR and OCTAGON S1018HD PVR Receivers.

    -------------------------------------
    Firmware Requirements
    -------------------------------------
ICECRYPT S4000 HD PVR Firmware Version: v1.07.94 or above.
OCTAGON SF1018 HD ALLIANCE V1.07.94 or above.

    -------------------------------
    Installer Instructions
    -------------------------------
First, get the IP address of your receiver. To do this:
Press Menu --> Installation --> Network Settings --> change DHCP off and then ON

You will then get an IP number.

Unzip all the files including all the folders in this zip to your local HDD.
Be sure to tick the box "Use Folder Names" or "Extract Full Paths" depending on your Zip Utility.
File structure should look like this on your Hard Disk after unzipping.

    xCam_Mcas_Installer.exe
    README.txt
    Mcas (folder)
    xCam (folder)

If you don't see the folders then you've unzipped the files incorrectly.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Editing cardclient.conf Instructions for xCam
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit the cardclient.conf file in the /xCam/var/etc folder and add your C line.
Use a suitable text editor like wordpad to do this then save the file.

Example, to add a C Line you'd enter the following

    cccam2:server_address.com:Port_nu mber:0/0/0:Username:Password

To make it simpler, lets say: example c line
    C: server_address.com 12000 kinkdink satdudez yes

    my server URL is server_address.com
    My Port number is 12000
    My username is: kinkdink
    My password is: satdudez

My C Line would look like this in cardclient.conf

    cccam2:server_address.com:12000:0/0/0:kinkdink:satdudez

add this to the bottom below the cccam section and save it

    ----------------------------------------------
    Installing the files Instructions
    ----------------------------------------------

    Now run the xCam_Installer.exe application.

Enter the IP address of your ICECRYPT S4000HD or OCTAGON SF1018HD Receiver into the IP Address box.
Unless you have changed the password of your receiver leave the password box blank.
If you have added a password to your receiver then enter that password into the password box.
Click on the INSTALL button to FTP the files to the Receiver.

When all files have successfully transferred, power off the receiver (power switch on the back)
    to reboot, then power on.

    In Receiver Menu:

Press Menu --> Utilities --> CAS --> Plugin --> OK Button
XcamClient plugin will be listed, this is the CCcam plugin.
XcamConfigure plugin will be listed, this is for editing C lines direct from the menu using the remote control.
Mcas plugin will be listed, this is a multi-crypt emulator and multi-crypt card reader.
Keditor plugin will be listed, this is for editing keys direct from the menu using the remote control.

Highlight the plugin you want to start and Press the GREEN button.

    Job done.

    newcs:-
but I have figured out that if you edit the same config file with a newcamd N line it works as a local share off that same server box
( my local lan , the host server box is using a fixed local ip )

example ( use the newcamd N section for this line , and use a # line above it for comments )

    # n line below connecting to local host server on 192.168.1.100
    newcamd:192.168.1.100:12000:0/0000/0000:Name:Password:01020304050607 08091011121314
    #

    so thats newcamd : ip address : port number : 0/0000/0000 : name : pass : 1 to 14 as above

paste the line into the bottom of the newcamd N section halfway down the actual file , below the examples that are in there

and I can set the xcam to auto from manual in the plugin menu so a reboot activates it and shows newcamd in the server line

obviously you have to have the server running newcs and add the name and pass etc to newcs in the newcs control panel
