voip phones

can anyone recommend a voip phone that will work with both skype and other voip providers. ie voip cheap, voip discount etc.

usin dualphone...works with skype and landline comes with it own base station + supports up to x6 wireless handsets...works well...software could be better...hopefully upgrades will sort that!...Just be careful some other options come with free ip server connections...but yer m8's must be on them to get free calls...!

I thought voip used SIP? protocol which is different to Skype?
I use voipfone UK with cheap Grandstream Bugetone phones from the auction site. My mates have them as well so it is easy to keep in touch with them when I am here in Australia (for nothing)
I don't think these will work with Skype though so i am interested to hear your replies.

at the beginning of the thread I should have said cordless voip phone.
i have a very cheap (about €10) usb phone that works with skype and voip cheap and voip buster ok. but i want to buy a cordless phone.
