Octagon SF 918 HD & blue card

Hi all

Will old blue s*y card decode in a 918 HD
slot, or has it to into a cam... ??

on putting into ci slot only it shows
v**access,and card number with
entitlements to Sept 2012

but wont unlock and channels....!!!!
is this normal, or do i need f/w fix

i beleive if you use the latest firmware it should work
