xbox 360 sound but no picture ????

I have an xbox360 for my lad he hasn't been playing on it for a while and tried to put it on yesterday, I placed all the phono leads into the back of the tv using the xbox leads and turned the xbox on it booted up and you can hear the dvd drive working and also hear the sound but no red lights came on.
The green lights operate normally searching for the wireless controller,However the screen came up with NO SIGNAL

All the phono plugs were all placed correctly in all the colour coded places,I decided to take the box to a mate who has one and ask him to use his leads setup into the TV,his setup works OK with his x box but with mine has the message NO SIGNAL


Anyone know what the problem is and can it be fixed and How much

Firstly ensure the switch at the back is either on SD or HD if not connected via HDMI.

Eject any game or Disc you might have in the Xbox.
Turn off the Xbox.
Now switch on the Xbox via the controller. When the green lights come on press the right trigger and the Y button together. The XBox should reboot with the standard resolution settings.

happend to me its the start of the 3 red light problem i took mine to somone to fix it and he did the same procedure as the 3 red light fix needs its been fine now for 6 months

Thanx lads we have Tried a few ideas but still not working,anyone know anyone who fixes them in the liverpool area :(

what did you try to fix it?i did one 18month ago replaced the xclamp and then heated the box up for a hour worked great

dont for get the over heating part most important,does sound like the solder and become brital,another way just to test it to see if it is that would be to wrap the console in towels till it heats up then let cool and try it,if it worksd then go ahead with the over heating.towel trick would nopt last very long
