Yes, these are the BD-RE discs. Available in both 25gb and 50gb.

As for the price of write-once discs, 25gb BD-R can be had for less than £1.20, and I've managed to get 50gb for less than £6.

1GB HDD are less than £50, so is still the cheapest way to back up files.

I do have the Blu-Ray writer but never used it.

Seeing as this isn't something the sponsors sell I hope no one has a problem with this!

Also check out "supamedia". They have a website - google it, or they can be found on e*b*a*y. Postage is cheaper so 20 discs amount to about £32. Send recorded as well.

Difficult to find the 50gb discs at a reasonable price in the UK, but have ordered from Japan for about £55 for 10 inc postage. PM me for the seller's details. Placed three orders previously, never any import duty.

I dont have a blu-ray writer so I burn my blu-ray downloads as avchd to standard 4.7Gb dvds (No loss in quality) . Only draw back is that I have to split the movie to 2 or 3 dvds ( but I split it so the parts over lap).

This works because my Panasonic blu-ray player thinks that Im playing HD stuff that I recorded with a HD camcorder!

BUT , now that Ive got an Azbox ; I dont bother burning HD content anymore. I just FTP the movies from PC to internal HDD in the Azbox. Sweet

windows 7 does not support blu ray, you need additional software,
I use Ashampoo Burning Studio 9 20, give it a try

    hope this helps:respect-055:
