confirmed: can't change channel in the EPG mode as before. no blocking
did you disconnect the usb hard drive and reconnect? Had no harddrive found.

Be careful what you are doing. Had to do a flash recovery procedure: null modem cable.

Lets hope Magic is watching THIS forum as this EPG prob could obviously be a mega prob - espec when trying to set up recordings from EPG etc?
Still sticking to new firmware for time being regardless however!

(Just tried setting up a recording from EPG and it 'seems' to go into that mode ok plus into 8281 ok too - anyone else? PVR ready still working ok for me - all recordings still there!)

All working ok here ,had to reboot to get the pvr working ,can access 8281 all seems ok by the way i did load the empty softcam file first

i have a problem here got this latest patch could not clear anything with it
even my channels on cs now i have tried to go back to p688 it say file error . switched my box off and on now it is stuck on with technomate logo on display of the box my box is f**cked for the moment any solutions please ?

stuck with the same problem: flash recovery failed with nasty message: Writting failed 0x6 while trying the Flash Recovery!
Will take it tomorrow to the local vendor and see if they can recover the flash or if it has to go to Technomate dealership locally or to UK. Can't open the box is sealed so don't know if the flash memory can be rewritten here or only in the UK. Will find out tomorrow.

once uv put version 7 on u cant get rid of it, tried a factory reset no good, lost my sat list now, get all channels banner and thats it, still cant get into 8281, not that i need to, but annoying,.

-. All ecm's of one channel will be processed at the same time (It is required by s s s p)

<Limitation>
* Once this new software has been downloaded, you cannot return back to the older versions of software.
The reason is that the new software was compressed to reduce the size of the flash memory.
So the boot loader was also changed in order to uncompress the software.
This new boot loader cannot accept the big size of old versions of software.
Another reason is that the data format and structures(channel memory, user settings and recorded file) are changed in this new version of software.
This new software can recognize and convert the old version of data format correctly, but the old version of software cannot recognize this new data structure.
Software is available to take your receiver back to older patches, but as softcams are drawing to a close, these patches and emulator updates are the future for our hobby

This all seems a LOT worrying and illogical - surely patches and softcams are a 'fact of life' - so why all this?
Wish I hadnt blundered into all this, but had assumed Magic knew what he was doing!

question for FBBC. you say in your message that software is available to take Rx back to older patch? where is this software from please?

as i have put on latest patch and find it to slow
