2 different levels DB and non-linux Technomate. DB you're in control, TM less maintenance, loading emu softcam and keying in biss codes on remote: this has no long future ahead. Tendency is to C S TM is client newcamd and now moving to cccam to, not serving. Sleepless nights, same go's here if things go wrong: it is not nice. But yes it is a good receiver, and I just ordered a second one.
Fast zapping in FTA and on its cardreader. Does a great job to in upscaling SD to HD. Less complicated then a DB (that has more possibilities). Get some more opinions.

    Hi! Apomambo1
welcome back here first of all
I can tell the technomate it is an easy receiver to use very simple infact ,there is a few bugs otherwise non problems,I use the 6900 hd super ,and also the 6800 hd super,Im happy to use it ,i had always echostar receivers ,but it was time to change because the HD,good thing is the card reader and the patch, and the 8281 feature make it nice when it work,i had a few problems myself but now sorted,
Our friend Giga is the the man can explain everything if you got problems

Giga have you tested the 8281 with the new patch and what you think about the new patch?
I know you had a few problems and i think you sorted if im not mistaken

I would like to test the last patch ,but seeing the problems he put me off,i guess i will test and see whats happen

but glad to see you sorted

    regards dxman

    Hello mate
    I'm glad you got sorted
the TM6900 it could be a good receiver when they sorted some bugs
make sure you put the latest patch every thing work ok for the moment with the patch 701,but still a lot to learn ,but you get used to that.
You said before that you got some Italian friends ,are they in England or in Italy?
I have been here in uk for 27years but was born in Italy.

    regards dxman
