I want to get a IP 9000, I am reading as much as I can and willing to learn. I currently have a MAXX 1000. I want my next box to be a Linux.
I keep reading about enigma 2, please forgive my ignorance, I am very new to linux boxes, what will installing enigma 2 onto a IP 9000 do

Do a list of the main features you want & we can advise on them item by item
Enigma 2 is the operating software thats used on Ipboxes, Dreamboxes & some other linux based boxes
Enigma 1 & DGS based software can also be used on Ipbox

The Ipbox 9000Hd & Cuberevo boxes both have twin tuners , twin cam & card slots
You can also add either Cable or Terresterial tuners if you wish

You can cs as client only so far
Its hoping incubuscamd will be developed soon so it can be used as server too
You can use other emus such as mgcamd, newcs & mbox
You should have no problem watching FTA SD & HD channels from across Europe subject to dish size set up & location
You are allowed to discuss cs technical issues but not recruit cs members etc
Avoid pay cs as you'll end up paying for nowt -there are loads of posts all over this forum regarding these issues & dangers
If you want to go down route of cs its best to have a subscription of some sorts to 'share' back- do loads of reading & research 1st
Until issue with incubuscamd server is resolved many folk use a cheap linux sat box, such as Dream 500 or Technomate 9100, to act as sharer & server & then connect the Cuberevo to that
