    Ccam again

Okay I have had my box for just over a week now and I am having problems getting CCAM to work. Leaving aside the sharing issues I am merely trying to use it watch channels such as DIGI TV.

I have followed the various turorials but so far no luck.

Can someone who knows what they are doing as clearly I don't (although I thought I did!!) check over what I've done so far:-

    1. Downloaded CCAM 2.2.1 and extracted it as described.
    2. Connected PC with Filezilla and then entered the /EMU directory and transfered the lib directory. I then clicked on file permissions and made sure all files in lib are 755.
    3. Opened OpenXCAS folder on AzBox HD receiver and transferred two files : module.seq and openxcas.conf . I then clicked on file permissions and made sure the two files 755.
    4. Transferred into /EMU/OpenXCAS/dvbapiCAS 3 files : dvbapi.sh , dvbapi_module and openxcas.conf . I then clicked on file permissions and made sure the three files 755.
    5. Put the latest key files (constant.cw, softcam.key,autoroll.key) into the dvbapiCAS directory. Set their attributes to 644 using file permission. I also put these keys into the /var/keys as well as not sure where to put them exactly.
    6. Activated the dvbapiCAS as the cam and rebooted.
    7. I do not have a C or N line so I haven't done anything with the ccam.cfg file.

    Questions are:-

    (a) Nothing clears so what have I done wrong?

    (b) Which is the correct directory for the keys and do I have all the files I need.

    (c) Does the getkeys plugin get the correct keys for CCAM?

    (d) I understand I can use CCAM without the C or N lines in ccam.cfg is that right??

Never had these problems with my old TM6900!!

You need to edit your cccam.config file in the EMU\LIB directory.

    Add these lines

    SOFTKEY FILE : /EMU/lib/SoftCam.Key
    AUTOROLL FILE : /EMU/lib/AutoRoll.Key

Don't forget to place your softcam.key file in the lib directory.

Okay I now appear to be working.

I actually created a var/key directory. I repointed the cfg file to that directory. All working. Thanks

    /var is reset at reboot...

All in AZbox HD goes to a single relevant EMU folder - as a principle.

For CCcam - as it is a bit specially made - into the /libs folder...

If you ask a Q, my advice would be to listen to the advice given - like Xanadu's!!!

    Key Files???

    Hi all,

Could someone tell me where I can find latest key files (constant.cw, softcam.key,autoroll.key)?
Also for which Satelites key files are available? Is there softcam.key and autoroll.key for all satelites?
    Any explanation are appreciated

Minicat's forum. Redbull and co. are making them...

Apparently, the CS is cut off if keys are "on".

True? I haven't yet tested it...

    Keys go to lib folder.

Well thats through sometimes, if you have "dead" keys for a provider in your softcam.key CCcam will not search in CS.

Butt CS isn't cut off completely just for the CAID's that are in the SOFTCAM.KEY file all others will work with CS.

That has always been the case with CCcam and the reason why I never use key files with CCcam ( most off them are "dead" anyway)

NodID = 0 , means server is down and/or yr C line (in CCam.cfg) is wrong (different from F line in the server) .

    Cheers ,

Well, it should work good. A few freezes now and then but no real problem.

I tested it in my lan only so, perhaps, there are some problem is the waiting time is too long but still, it should work.

Try to clear out all, new FW and re-install the set.

I must admit.I do personally enjoy the challenge but I needed to get this sorted as a mate purchased this box before me.Normally i'd have had months of playing with a box before anyone else around me.
At least when I get mine i'll know what to do.
I am looking forward to new firmware for box the Sat side of things and the streaming(popcornhour) side.
It does have a lot of promise.
    Thanks to all.
