    I think you need to ask yourself what is an acceptable Zapping speed?

    0 - 1 second
    2 - 3 seconds
    4 - 5 seconds
    5+ seconds

    What you might deem acceptable might not be for me.
    Personally I don't care how long it takes as long the channel clears and remains clear.

    Zap speed 1 to 2 sec encrypted channel NDS FTA 1 sec or less
    firmware 0.9.2372
    incubascamd
    8 sats 8-1 diseqc switch

    22khz tone make sure this is enabled it will speed up channel change on about half of your channels
    It does for me.
    Could someone else test and see if it works for them.

    Hello,

    Funny all the people that report so far, don't have the problem... but who has the problem then? Come on people with zap time problem, let us know your configuration to allow us to find where the problem is... and allow us to help you zap as fast as we zap.

    @Taykun

    For mgcamd you also need to setup a good file called:

    priority.list

    Exemple:

    S: for Seca
    V: for Viaccess

    Code:
    S: { 33 11 }
    S: { 33 15 }
    S: { 33 17 }
    S: { 00 6D }
    S: { 00 6C }
    S: { 00 6A }
    # use this via prov first
    V: { 02 08 20 }
    V: { 03 29 00 }
    V: { 03 29 10 }
    V: { 03 29 20 }
    V: { 03 29 30 }
    V: { 03 29 40 }
    this is just an exemple for french channels, you need to setup your own depending on the channel you watch, to help mgcamd to choose immediately the right provider on simulcrypt channel.

    Also ensure that your mg_cfg has the G: and P: parameter set properly depending on the type of server you connect to.

    Exemple:
    Code:
    # network mode, use summ for several clients
    #    00 no network (default)
    #    01 newcamd netclient
    #    02 radegast netclient
    #    04 camd3 netclient
    #    08 gbox netclient
    G: { 04 }

    # network shares priority
    # 00 newcamd, radegast, camd3 (default)
    # 01 camd3, radegast, newcamd
    # 02 newcamd, camd3, radegast
    P: { 01 }
    Pr2

    P.S.: Same remark apply to CCcam 2.1.1 users please use CCcam.prio adapted to the channel you are watching, you need to help CCcam on Azbox to choose the right provider on simulcrypt channels!

    I forgot to say in the other thread that I use Mbox, most of the time.

    Affected: not really, reboot when it gets slower...

    Zapping speed (FTA channels): around 1s
    Encripted channels: up to 2 seconds, rarely more
    Firmware: 0.9.2371
    Antenna : Fixed (90 cm Toroidal, 8 LNBs [0.2 dB], Centauri 8in1 switch)
    Emu: Mbox 0.6 Beta build 0010
    MultiCAS started: No
    Other EMU started: No

    I don't yet have a HDD connected, so not using timeshift.

    This test doesn't prove anything... you can switch inside same TP very fast and very slow between channels on same Sat (no diseqc). So if you do any testing don't zap on same transponder.
    If you zap on same TP is it Ok... but anyother TP you double time 2x. Test done on FTA (no emus).

    Zapping is slower than Kathrein or DM500S.

    I agree this is a total waste of time....

    You need to compare like with like.

    Everyone must zap exact same channel from and to......

    Everyone must have same LNB & motor settings, firmware....etc etc

    It's only perfect because they probably never paid for their boxes.
